Use Android phones for 2-step authentication on iOS devices
Quick summary
Earlier this year, Google announced the possibility using an Android phone with a security key built-in as the 2nd authentication method in G Suite.
You can now use Android 7.0+ (Nougat) mobile devices to authenticate login sessions and Google and Google Cloud services on Apple iPad and iPhone devices.
- Administrators can learn how to enforce security key enforcement in their organization by visiting the Help Center.
- End users can activate the security key on their Android device and use them to authenticate login sessions on iPhone and iPad.
