Link your site to a custom URL in the new version of Google Sites

What’s new: As a professional organization, it's quite important that you post information, related to your business internally or externally, at a well-known URL. Originally supported in the old Google Sites, this feature is now available in the new Google Sites as well.

Important Notes:

• For sites that can only be viewed by people within your business, the link will be redirected to the Google Sites URL (for example, http://sites.google.com/example.com/mysite).
• The new web address binding feature automatically uses domain-validated SSL functionality to check for secure connections. You cannot use other certificates.
• You may need to wait up to 24 hours to see a change. Trial domains will not be able to use this feature.
