Temporarily turn off Hangouts Chat notifications

What’s new: Hangouts Chat is built to help you collaborate more effectively, but the important thing is that you can also disconnect from them without necessarily stopping receiving messages or exiting the flow of communication. You can now temporarily turn off Hangouts Chat notifications, letting others know that you'll check and update the chat when you have time.

You can choose the time frame that works best for you. For example, you can temporarily disable notifications for 30 minutes, or one to eight hours. During this time, notifications will be turned off on all your devices. Others will see your status change to a moon and a message next to your display name. That way, others will know when you will reappear and respond.
