Ask Gemini in Google Meet is expanding to Workspace Business Standard customers, additional languages, and mobile usage

Since its launch in September 2025, Gemini Ask in Meet has transformed how we interact in online meetings, bringing the power of artificial intelligence directly into the workflow of any organization. The ability to summarize, capture key points, and review missed content has helped countless users save time and focus on what truly matters.

Today, Google continues to break down barriers, making this powerful feature more accessible and useful than ever before. Google has officially announced three major updates, promising to bring the Gemini AI assistant closer to users worldwide.

Important updates have just been announced.

1. Extended to Workspace Business Standard Customers

This is great news for small and medium-sized businesses. Previously, the Gemini Ask feature in Meet was primarily available on premium business plans. Now, Google has officially made this feature available to customers using the Workspace Business Standard plan. This expansion democratizes access to AI, allowing more organizations to leverage the technology to improve the productivity of their meetings.

2. Supports 7 new languages.

Breaking down language barriers is one of the top priorities. Initially, Ask Gemini in Meet was only available in English. With this update, the feature will be expanded to include seven other popular languages, include:

  • French
  • German
  • Italian
  • Japanese
  • Korea
  • Portuguese
  • Spanish

Important note: Currently, this feature supports one language at a time and does not yet support analytics when multiple languages are used in the same meeting. Google is committed to adding more languages in the future.

3. Available on mobile devices

Working flexibly has never been easier. Now you can leverage the power of Gemini even while on the go. The Ask Gemini feature in Meet will be available on the Google Meet mobile app for both iOS and Android. To access it, simply tap the Gemini icon in the upper right corner of the screen during a meeting.

The power of "Ask Gemini in Meet"

With these updates, more and more users can take advantage of Gemini's core, game-changing capabilities, including:

  • Quick grasp: Late for a meeting? Just ask Gemini, and you'll quickly catch up on the main points and topics discussed.
  • Intelligent summarization: Ask Gemini to list the key points, decisions made, and action items discussed throughout the meeting.
  • Catch up on what you missed: As long as the "Take notes for me" feature is enabled, Gemini can help you catch up on exactly what you missed when you arrived late.
