G Suite Contacts Migration Settings in the Admin Console
What’s new:
Google is making changes to where Contacts settings are stored in the Admin console in G Suite (GG Workspace), moving from the app screen to the Contacts section in the main menu.
- You can find the installation at: Admin Console > Menu > Directory > Directory Settings
- This installation was previously located at: Admin Console > Apps > G Suite > Directory
Contact settings will now be located in the main menu of the Admin console

Why you’d use it
You can use Contacts settings to control your business's global contacts, as well as how users in your business can use Contact. This feature will control: which version of Google Contact users can use, how users edit their personal information in Global Contacts, configuration of internal contacts, etc.
How to get started with this feature
- For Admin: You can now find the settings inside Admin console > Menu > Directory > Directory Settings. Use the Help Center for more information about managing Contacts settings in your business or how to create custom contacts
- For end users: End users are not affected
