Google allows users to set to show or hide Google Meet in Gmail

What changed?

Google previously announced the ability to start or join Meet in Gmail.. Now Google gives users the option to hide those features.

Getting started

• Admins: Admins can turn off Meet for their organization by disable video calling in the Admin Console. There will be one more user-level setting when this feature is rolled out.
• End User: No action required.

Deployment speed

Fast and scheduled release domains: Gradual rollout (up to 15 days for feature visibility) starting May 19, 2020

Effect

Available to all G Suite customers (Google Workspace customers)
