Last month, Google announced to allow all customers G Suite (G Suite Basic, Business, Education and Nonprofit) get free use of premium features of Google Meet until July 2020. But now, Google has extended this offer to date September 30, 2020 to ensure businesses, organizations and educators continue to do their jobs during this crisis.
Additionally, Google removed the word Hangouts from the name of Google Meet. You'll start to see this change reflected in the product and across resources over the next few weeks.
