Compare G Suite application health across enterprise suborganizations

What’s new: Google has added a new feature to view and filter reports by each organization (Organizational Unit (OU) in the enterprise, from the Admin console and the Report API section. This information can help admins build detailed, useful reports and have a more complete perspective on how the departments and sub-organizations of the G Suite application.


You can use this feature to:

  • Compare G Suite apps across sub-organizations – You can scroll down to see metrics like Drive storage, active users, and more at the same level. organization level (OU level). They will help you measure and understand the usage of G Suite in different groups and departments in the company.
  • Improve investigation efficiency – You can view the Audit log for a certain department within the company, thereby helping to filter out irrelevant events and focus on important investigative goals.


View data by OU in the Admin console

To view a report or an audit of a specific department from within the Admin console, use the menu on the left hand side to filter. You can access the Help Center to Learn more about account activity logs.

View data by OU through Report API

When you use the Report API, the output includes information about the OU. You can use this feature to report and analyze suborganizations. Learn more about How to use the Report API.
